Scot Goldberg – In MEMORIAM
“When we meet again, may it be as neighbors and friends.”
We remember Scot Goldberg who was the President of the Ramblewood Association and recently passed away in December 2021. The quote above was from Scot at his last board meeting and was his hope for the community which we feel is a fitting legacy for Scot and represents the mark he made on our neighborhood. We will never forget him.
Below is Scot’s bio which we have kept here so you can learn more about who he was.
Dr. Goldberg was elected to the Ramblewood Association’s Board of Directors in 2019. He has
been a resident of Ramblewood since 2013. He brings a long history of business acumen and public service to the board. A native of New York City, he received degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Wayne State University School of Medicine.
He completed his medical training at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, and then started a private primary care medical practice in Warren, Michigan where he remains to this day. He also obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Madonna University.

Dr Goldberg has a long history of public service. To Name a few of his positions, in organized medicine, he has been elected President of the Macomb County Medical Society and has served on the The Michigan State Medical Society Board of Directors. Amongst his many duties, he has served and led many financial and legislative committees and has been chairman of the Michigan Doctors Political Action Committee. Dr Goldberg has also served in both local and state government. Before his residency in Farmington Hills, he served as an officer on a homeowner’s board in Bloomfield Township.
Subsequently, he served on The Bloomfield Township Planning Commission and was elected its chairman for 4 straight years, receiving acclaim from the Township Board. He has been appointed three times to state positions by two governors (of different parties) and has served as the chairman of the Michigan Board of Medicine, the highest regulatory body for Michigan’s physicians, for three years. Since being term-limited in his service on the Board of Medicine, he has remained a consultant to the Board. Dr Goldberg believes that the best public servant listens well and is transparent, fair and honest. He is honored to have been elected to the Ramblewood Association Board of Directors and hopes that his service will be a source of pride for the residents.
Michael Pitts – President
Michael has practiced general law for almost 20 years in addition to spending more than 20 years as a commissioner with the Michigan Supreme Court and he is excited to be on the Ramblewood Board of Directors. He brings many years of experience with committees, associations and task forces to his role here.

Michael received his B.A. (cum laude) from Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina and his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School. He is a member of both the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of Michigan and has served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Michigan and as an adjunct professor of law at Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
Tony Cortese – Vice President
Tony was born and raised in Detroit. He is a graduate of West Point and a Vietnam veteran. He left the Army after 8 years as a Captain. Tony then owned and operated a small business for 25 years in Wichita, KS. Finally, he was a Fleet & Logistics Manager for a mechanical contractor for 15 years.

Tony retired and moved back to Michigan where he and his wife have been residents of Ramblewood since 2014.
Tony was elected to the Ramblewood Board of Directors in 2021. He wants to bring a sense of community and unity to the Ramblewood residents. He brings his organizational and budgeting skills to the board.
Barbara Macdonald – Secretary
Barbara has been an active and participating Condominium resident and neighbor in Ramblewood for 4-1/2 years. She is thrilled for the opportunity to serve on the Ramblewood Association Board of Directors, and she brings over 25 years of experience as an organizational performance management consultant to her role here.

Barbara has worked with and sat on Boards before and she is committed to work diligently to ensure our association continues to run effectively and efficiently. She is objective, knowledgeable and informed, and will strive to foster a neighborly and united community with transparency, integrity, mutual respect and fair representation for all members and stakeholders.
Keith Stein – Treasurer
Keith is very excited to join the Ramblewood Association’s Board of Directors. He joined the board in 2021 and is looking forward to serving and helping the community.
Glenn Visbeck – Board Member
Glenn has a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s in Human Resources Administration. He has spent 40 years working in the auto industry in Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering, always looking for ways to improve processes, make things more efficient and resolve problems.
Glenn moved to Ramblewood in 2019 and is looking forward to serving all residents of community.
